Mental Health Texting Service
Shout 85258 is a free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope. Launching publicly in May 2019, they've had more than 500,000 conversations with people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed and who need immediate support.
To start a conversation, text the word 'SHOUT' to 85258.
Mermaids
Mermaids provides a range of helpline services supporting transgender youth, up to and including the age of 25. They also support families and professionals.
The helpline offers emotional support, a gateway to the parents and young people’s forums, information about current legislation and protections under the law, plus signposting to training and resources. The helpline is covered by volunteers between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Friday.

Samaritans
Samaritans is available round the clock, every single day of the year. They provide a safe place for anyone struggling to cope, whoever they are, however they feel, whatever life has done to them.

CASY (Counselling and Support for Young People)
CASY provides a confidential counselling service to young people aged from 6 to 25 within Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Counselling offers you an opportunity to talk about everything that is important to you, whatever it is.
Advice and support for parents worried about their child’s behaviour, emotional problems and mental health can also be found.
